Welcome to CROSSing Paths, Inc.!

We trust you will find our website to be not only informative, but also user-friendly.  In addition to providing a ministry of service to low-income elderly and disabled, we’ve provided “added value” to the community by way of forming the Community Adult Protective Taskforce/C.A.P.T.  In line with our slogan:  “At the intersection of need and provision,” CROSSing Paths has taken on the leadership role of this networking organization.  The C.A.P.T. is a catalyst for action and advocacy for vulnerable populations of elderly and disabled.  Our mission is to bring together community resources to assist case managers, and others in healthcare/human-services fields, who need timely information to assist clients.  We meet the last Friday of every month.  If you would like to be part of this extraordinary organization, please e-mail the Executive Director of CROSSing Paths.

Why do This?

Realizing an urgent need in the county, members of the Christian faith community in Panama City, Florida, acted on the Call to be obedient to God’s Will by providing community development services to the low-income elderly and/or disabled homeowners. This could not be done without the help of our neighbors in Gulf County

Why the Name CROSSing PATHS?

We chose this name because we, as Christians involved in our local community, believe that the church stands “at the intersection of need and provision.”  The community of faith has the power to bring volunteers, community, resources, and God's love together to meet the needs of a neighbor near you!

CROSSing Paths is a 501(c)3 organization providing services and home repairs, at no cost, for area low-income elderly and/or disabled homeowners.  We will also act as a “clearing house” for  services being offered by members of the Christian faith community in the Bay County area.

To allow the elderly and/or disabled to remain as independent as possible for as long as possible.  And, to unify the various Christian ministries in Bay County to ensure a more effective utilization of resources and efforts.

Statement of Faith

In our diversity, we demonstrate a commitment to an all-encompassing Christian community unity that works toward a vision of all God’s people being reconciled to serve those in need, and of a lost world saved. (Luke 19:10)  Together, we stand on God’s revelation in Scripture of redemption alone in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, by grace through faith. (Mt 28:19)  Through the example set by Christ, we will endeavor to make a positive influence in the lives of the elderly and disabled through a devoted organization of Christian volunteers desiring to achieve God’s purposes. (Heb 11:6)  In our fund-raising and distribution efforts, we will act as stewards of God’s provision.  (1 Chron. 29:14)  Finally, but foremost, all decisions will be prayed over thereby trusting in God’s provision and direction. (Phil 4:6)

CROSSing Paths Receives Grant

On behalf of the Board of Directors of CROSSing Paths, Inc., we would like to thank the Panama City Rotary Club for their grant to advance the Mission and Vision of this ministry.

WE DID IT! November 18 th

Beginning at 9 a.m. a group of dedicated volunteers began work on our first ramp.  The project was finished at 4:15 that afternoon.  It was a GREAT day of fun, fellowship, prayer, and service.

Step Riser Built

Recently Crossing Paths, Inc. received a request from a caregiver of an elderly homebound woman, requesting a step-riser for the front porch and doorway of the elderly woman's home so that they could get her in and out with her wheelchair more easily.   Crossing Paths, Inc. was able to partner with the Lynn Haven Church's Hardly Able Crew to respond promptly to this call for assistance.  This expression of gratitude came from the caregiver who is finding her work much easier with the access step-risers!  "A BIG thank you to those of you who blessed Mrs. Mary and her caregiver, Lucy, with the beautiful wheel-chair ramp!  We love it!  Blessings to all who made it possible!  Lucy and Mary"
